Our patient from Glassgo Scotland had surgery for sinus lift and bone graft to fix the implant at the molar area in the same visit. All the procedure was done under full option of strilization with the skillful maxilofacial surgeon in 45 minutes. He was surprised with the painless procedure and only antibiotic and some painkillers given after the surgery.

He must be back for the prosthetic abutment and porcelain in the next 6 months.

Clip 1 : Incision   Mucoperiosteal flap openned and retracted to access the operation filed at buccal of upper right molar area.

Clip 2 : Lifting The Sinus - Opening the buccal bone window. - Drilling to open window. - Mucosal floor of the maxillary sinus is reflected and elevated to gain space above bony floor of sinus (edentulous alveolar ridge) at the area where a dental implant will be placed.

Clip 3 : Bone Graft - Measurement for the adequate length of the implant fixture to be placed. - Fresh blood is drawn into a syringe to soak with artificial bone granule and apply under the elevated mucosal sinus floor as " graft".

Clip 4 : Preparation for The Implant Site - Marking drill and pilot drill at the selected site. - Initial drilling using twist drills. Note the mucosal floor is protected by metal plate of broad periosteal elevator.

Clip 5 : Enlarging and Deepening the Implant Site Enlarge and deepen the implant site using gradual twist drills.

Clip 6 : Tapping the Bone   Tapping the bone using bone tap drill.

Clip 7 : Surgicel Application of Surgicel membrane to prevent collapse of the elevated mucosal sinus floor and bone graft.

Clip 8 : Implant Placement An implant fixture is fixing and tightening using torque wrench.
